In year 1990 we made a large use of TFKISS/TFPCX
to run simple KISS TNC or BayCom modems with
DOSFBB 5.15... I have big difficulties to obtain
WA8DED/TFKISS eproms.
However that concept remains valid as per nowadays.
Apropos of linux TFKISS, studying the original project it
can link through the KISS mode to rmnc and tnn/kiss-tnc
and through the HOSTMODE to tnc2/3.
The other proposed and nowadays big feature, namely
that to perform ax/ip, wampes, flexnet through an
AX/IP-Interface don't function at all :(
Now, in this field should be very interesting to
implement and expand that features, but since now
no response from them having the capabilities to
do.

I have LinFBB running without the Linux AX.25 stack, and I am wondering
if this information would be valuable to someone else concerned about
the ax.25 code being pulled from the Linux kernel. So in order to
keep LinFBB viable, one needs to establish an alternate AX.25 stack.
TFKISS emulates a real TNC in DED hostmode. I use socat as a bridge
from tue UNIX-socket that TFKISS creates to PTY's that you can attach
to with FBB.
I am not sure if there is interest enogh to pursue patching the setup
script to consider this possibility. That is why I am polling here.
