U.S. DAILY SITUATION REPORT (SITREP)
================================================================================
DATE: April 26, 2026 | TIME: 18:00 EST
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[ BLUF: BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT ]
-----------------------------
OPERATION EPIC FURY TRANSITIONS TO A STABILIZED "DE FACTO" TRUCE
FOLLOWING THE
EXPIRATION OF THE 72-HOUR ULTIMATUM; IRANIAN ARMED FORCES (ARTESH) HAVE
LARGELY COMPLIED WITH WITHDRAWAL TERMS DESPITE ISOLATED IRGC RESISTANCE.
DHS
SEC. MULLIN REPORTS A "PARTIAL BREAKTHROUGH" IN SENATE FUNDING, BUT THE
MAY 1
PAYROLL DEADLINE REMAINS A CRITICAL THREAT TO TSA OPERATIONS. A DESTRUCTIVE
TORNADO STRUCK RUNAWAY BAY, TX TODAY, WHILE GEORGIA'S PINELAND RD FIRE
CONTINUES EXTREME BEHAVIOR AMID SEVERE DROUGHT.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I. THE IRAN WAR (OPERATION EPIC FURY - DAY 58)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* CEASEFIRE STATUS: The 20:00 EST deadline passed without a resumption
of U.S.
airstrikes. CENTCOM reports that the majority of heavy Iranian assets
have
retreated beyond the 12-mile neutral zone. The "Islamabad Accord" is now
being treated as an active, though fragile, governing document.
* INTERNAL CONFLICT: U.S. signals intelligence confirms localized "purges"
within the Iranian military command. Pro-accord Artesh units have
reportedly
seized control of several coastal batteries from IRGC hardliners to
prevent
rogue launches against the blockade.
* BLOCKADE & MINES: The naval blockade remains at 100% strength. U.S.
Navy EOD
teams have begun "Safe Passage" mapping for future commercial
shipping, but
official de-mining operations are on hold pending a formal peace treaty.
* HUMANITARIAN: Chinese medical ships have begun offloading supplies in
Chabahar under Omani supervision. The U.S. has maintained a
"monitor-only"
posture for these non-military relief efforts.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
II. HOMELAND SECURITY (DHS)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* FUNDING STATUS: The Senate fast-tracked a $15.2B emergency bill for
CBP and
ICE early today, but the House has yet to vote. Sec. Mullin warned that
without immediate action, the "May Day" payroll cliff will still trigger
furloughs for 20,000 administrative and security staff this Friday.
* AVIATION SECURITY: National Guard units in "Phase 1" states (TX, CA,
FL, GA)
have begun pre-deployment orientations at major hubs. TSA sick-calls are
averaging 12% above seasonal norms due to financial stress.
* BORDER SECURITY: The "Purple Monster" array in the San Diego sector
helped
agents interdict a high-speed "maritime dash" involving three semi-
submersible vessels carrying unrefined chemical precursors.
* CYBER WATCH: CISA reports a surge in "Disinformation Campaigns" targeting
Guard troops, intended to sow confusion regarding their legal authority
at domestic airport checkpoints.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
III. SEVERE WEATHER & WILDFIRES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* TORNADO OUTBREAK: A possible tornado in Runaway Bay, TX resulted in one
fatality and multiple injuries this afternoon. An ENHANCED RISK
remains in
place for Kansas, Northern Oklahoma, and Western Missouri through
tonight,
with 3-inch hail and a "couple of strong tornadoes" possible.
* OHIO VALLEY THREAT: Severe storms are expected to shift into the Mid-
Mississippi and Ohio Valleys by Monday morning. Saturated ground raises
the risk for flash flooding and significant wind-driven power outages.
* WILDFIRES (PL-2 / Southern PL-4):
- GEORGIA: The "Pineland Rd" fire near Fargo remains the top priority.
Extreme fire behavior and short-range spotting have destroyed over 140
structures across the region. Containment is estimated at under 10%.
- FLORIDA: The "Cow Creek" fire remains active at 2,000+ acres, while
the
"HWY 82" fire (GA/FL border) is threatening critical railroad
infrastructure.
- SOUTHWEST: "Red Flag" conditions have abated slightly due to higher
humidity, but the High Plains remain under watch for new starts
tomorrow.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IV. ECONOMIC & INFRASTRUCTURE IMPACT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* ENERGY: Brent Crude is stable at $78.50/bbl. Markets are breathing a sigh
of relief following the 20:00 EST "peaceful transition," though shipping
insurance remains at "War Risk" levels for the Strait.
* LOGISTICS: Rail lines in Southern Georgia have been suspended due to the
Highway 82 fire, causing a secondary backlog of timber and poultry
shipments. The "Mullin Logistics Corridors" are re-routing to Atlanta.
* AGRICULTURE: Violent tornadoes in Enid, OK yesterday caused significant
damage to the Vance AFB vicinity and local grain storage elevators. USDA
assessment teams are evaluating losses to early-season winter wheat.
