U.S. DAILY SITUATION REPORT (SITREP)
================================================================================
DATE: April 07, 2026 | TIME: 18:00 EST
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[ BLUF: BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT ]
-----------------------------
OPERATION EPIC FURY ENTERS A "DECISIVE HOUR" AS THE 20:00 EST ULTIMATUM
NEARS.
POTUS WARNS OF TOTAL INFRASTRUCTURE DESTRUCTION IF THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ IS
NOT REOPENED. DOMESTICALLY, DHS SEC. MULLIN HAS UNROZEN OVER 1,000 DISASTER
CONTRACTS TO ADDRESS THE LOGISTICS BACKLOG. FLOODING THREATENS SOUTH
FLORIDA
AND THE MID-SOUTH, WHILE NATIONAL FIRE ACTIVITY REMAINS AT PREPAREDNESS
LEVEL 2.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I. THE IRAN WAR (OPERATION EPIC FURY - DAY 39)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* THE ULTIMATUM: Two hours remain until the 20:00 EST deadline. President
Trump has reiterated that "Hell will rain down" on Iranian power
plants and
bridges if a deal is not reached. Iranian state media reports "human
chains"
forming around critical energy infrastructure in response.
* KINETIC UPDATE: Strikes have already escalated; U.S./Israeli forces
hit power
transmission lines in Alborz Province today, causing blackouts in Karaj.
A fresh strike on the Kharg Island oil hub was confirmed this afternoon.
* RECOVERY OPS: One U.S. airman from the downed F-15 has been successfully
extracted in a daring rescue mission. The search continues for the
second
crew member amid heightened Iranian search efforts.
* NAVAL FRONT: The IRGC Navy maintains its stance that the Strait "will
never
return to its previous state" for the U.S. and its allies. All
commercial
traffic remains on high alert.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
II. HOMELAND SECURITY (DHS)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* CONTRACT REFORM: Secretary Markwayne Mullin has officially rescinded the
restrictive $100K personal approval policy. This release of bureaucratic
gridlock is expected to expedite $250M in stalled grants for port
security
and disaster response.
* ENFORCEMENT: ICE arrested a high-profile criminal illegal alien in New
York
facing kidnapping charges after his release by sanctuary authorities.
Sec.
Mullin stated this "insanity" must end to ensure public safety.
* BORDER SECURITY: Deployment of theater-grade ISR (Intelligence,
Surveillance,
and Reconnaissance) technology continues along the Southern Border.
FY2026
proposals include $346M for autonomous drone swarms in high-traffic
sectors.
* CYBER WATCH: CISA is hosting a cybersecurity workshop for
telecommunications
carriers following a surge in state-sponsored probes during the current
geopolitical tension.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
III. SEVERE WEATHER & WILDFIRES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* FLORIDA FLOOD THREAT: A "NEXT Weather Alert" is in effect for South
Florida.
Heavy rain totals of 1–3 inches (isolated 6 inches) are causing flash
flooding in Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
* MID-SOUTH INUNDATION: "Catastrophic" flooding remains a risk from
Northern
Arkansas to Western Tennessee as a stalled front dumps record rainfall.
FEMA is prepositioning assets following the unfreezing of contract funds.
* RED RIVER FLOODING: The Red River at Fargo is at 21.2 ft and receding
slowly.
Engineers remain on "slump watch" for saturated levees as water pressure
stabilizes.
* WILDFIRES (PL-2):
- FLORIDA: The "Sargent Fire" (400 acres) is 70% contained; railroads
remain
threatened. The "Hilux Fire" in Big Cypress is showing moderate
behavior.
- OKLAHOMA: The "Double Pine" fire near Muldrow is currently
uncontained in
heavy slash.
- CALIFORNIA: The "Crown Fire" in Los Angeles County is 95% contained
with
minimal smoldering.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IV. ECONOMIC & INFRASTRUCTURE IMPACT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* ENERGY: Brent Crude is trading at $94/bbl as the market braces for the
20:00 EST deadline. Retail gas remains above $4.00/gal nationally.
* TARIFFS: Section 232 tariffs on aluminum, steel, and copper (up to
50%) took
effect today. Pharmaceutical companies are facing a 100% tariff on
non-trade-deal imports unless they "onshore" manufacturing.
* MARKETS: Logistics and defense stocks are holding gains, while the pharma
sector is highly volatile following the new "onshoring" mandates.
