U.S. DAILY SITUATION REPORT (SITREP)
================================================================================
DATE: April 04, 2026 | TIME: 18:00 EST
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[ BLUF: BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT ]
-----------------------------
OPERATION EPIC FURY ENTERS DAY 37. POTUS STATES STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES ARE
"NEARING
COMPLETION" AS STRIKES EXPAND TO IRANIAN INDUSTRIAL AND PHARMACEUTICAL
SECTORS.
DHS SEC. MULLIN REPORTS RAIL BACKLOGS ARE 60% CLEARED; NEW "FY2026 FUNDING"
PROPOSALS PRIORITIZE GPS MONITORING FOR NON-DETAINED ALIENS. A MAJOR SPRING
STORM THREATENS THE CENTRAL U.S. WITH HEAVY RAIN AND HIGH WINDS NEXT WEEK,
WHILE FLORIDA FACES ELEVATED FIRE RISK AHEAD OF A MONDAY FRONT.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I. THE IRAN WAR (OPERATION EPIC FURY - DAY 37)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* STRATEGIC SHIFT: Air operations have expanded beyond military hardware to
economic nodes. Recent strikes targeted the Pasteur Institute and major
steel factories to degrade Iran's long-term sovereign war-making
capacity.
* TACTICAL INTERDICTION: U.S. forces destroyed the B1 Bridge (Tehran-Karaj)
to halt the transfer of ballistic missiles from central storage to
western
launch sites. Iran is reportedly firing 10–15 missiles daily at Israel.
* NAVAL FRONT: Trident Guard Convoy #15 transited the Strait without
incident.
Despite the presence of U.S. escorts, Iran continues to harass regional
energy tankers, recently damaging a Panamanian-flagged vessel near Qatar.
* CEASEFIRE STATUS: POTUS emphasized that a ceasefire will only be
considered
once the Strait of Hormuz is "open, free, and clear." Indirect talks
continue in Switzerland, but the U.S. expects 2–3 more weeks of
high-tempo
kinetic operations.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
II. HOMELAND SECURITY (DHS)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* LOGISTICS SURGE: Secretary Mullin confirmed "Phase Two" (Rail/Inland)
normalization is at 60% capacity. "Directive 004" logistics corridors
have
successfully bypassed congestion points, moving over 15,000 "stale"
containers
to the Midwest in the last 72 hours.
* POLICY & FUNDING: New House appropriations for FY2026 propose $66.36B for
DHS, including $346M for border tech and a mandate for GPS tracking
of all
non-detained migrants. Funding for "Shelter and Services" programs
has been
zeroed out in the latest draft.
* CYBER WATCH: CISA remains on "Elevated Alert" following the recent solar
flare. While GPS degradation has stabilized, cyber-actors are reportedly
exploiting legacy vulnerabilities in regional rail-switching software.
* TSA/CBP STATUS: TSA wait times remain under 10 minutes. Sec. Mullin
authorized the deployment of three new Fast Response Cutters to the
Coast
Guard to bolster maritime interdiction in the Caribbean.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
III. SEVERE WEATHER & WILDFIRES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* UPCOMING STORM OUTBREAK: NOAA/CPC warns of a high risk of heavy
precipitation and high winds for the Plains and Mississippi Valley
starting
April 6. Severe flooding is possible in NE Texas and Oklahoma as a deep
trough moves east.
* RED RIVER FLOODING: The Red River at Fargo/Moorhead continues its slow
recession (21.7 ft). Officials are monitoring "slump" risks on permanent
levees. Moderate flood stage is expected to persist through mid-week.
* WILDFIRES:
- FLORIDA: "Sargent Fire" and "Mill Pond Fire" remain active with
minimal
smoldering. However, dry southwesterly winds ahead of a Monday front
create "Elevated" fire potential for the Atlantic coast tonight.
- TEXAS: "Lefty Fire" (private land, Turkey, TX) shows moderate behavior
with residences threatened; suppression efforts are ongoing.
* SPACE WEATHER: Atmospheric drag from the X-class flare has returned to
normal levels, though satellite operators continue to recalibrate
precision-timing sensitive equipment.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IV. ECONOMIC & INFRASTRUCTURE IMPACT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* ENERGY: Brent Crude dropped to $87/bbl following the POTUS "nearing
completion" remarks. Markets are anticipating a gradual de-escalation of
the energy blockade if diplomatic verification begins.
* SUPPLY CHAIN: The retail "Electronics and Medical" sector reports 95%
restock efficiency. However, meat-packing disruptions in the Southern
Plains persist due to the recent wildfire damage to cattle grazing lands.
* TRANSPORT: Major rail carriers (BNSF/CSX) report that the "Mullin Surge"
has cleared the primary holiday shipping backlog three weeks ahead of
initial April projections.
