U.S. DAILY SITUATION REPORT (SITREP)
================================================================================
DATE: March 27, 2026 | TIME: 18:00 EST
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[ BLUF: BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT ]
-----------------------------
OPERATION EPIC FURY ENTERS DAY 28 AS THE PENTAGON ESTABLISHES "PERMANENT
OVERWATCH"
OVER IRANIAN AIRSPACE. DOMESTICALLY, SECRETARY MULLIN’S PORT SURGE HAS
REDUCED
BACKLOGS BY 25% IN 48 HOURS. A DESTRUCTIVE TORNADO OUTBREAK HAS LEFT 7 DEAD
ACROSS ALABAMA AND GEORGIA, WHILE A NEW "MEGA-FIRE" EMERGENCY IS
UNFOLDING IN
THE TEXAS PANHANDLE FOLLOWING MULTIPLE IGNITIONS UNDER EXTREME WINDS.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I. THE IRAN WAR (OPERATION EPIC FURY - DAY 28)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* AIR OPERATIONS: CENTCOM has transitioned to "Sustained Suppression of
Enemy
Air Defenses" (SSEAD). U.S. drones now maintain 24/7 loitering
presence over
Tehran. Strikes today targeted mobile IRGC radio-relay units
attempting to
restore internal communications.
* NAVAL FRONT: The 5th "Trident Guard" convoy transited the Strait of
Hormuz
without incident. Intelligence suggests the remnants of the Iranian Navy
have retreated to shallow coastal inlets, effectively ceding the
deep-water
channels to the coalition.
* DIPLOMATIC FRONTIER: Preliminary reports indicate "Swiss-channel"
communications have opened between Washington and Tehran. The White
House
maintains its "Three Pillars" demand: total demilitarization of the
Strait,
dissolution of the Quds Force, and international monitoring of
nuclear sites.
* CASUALTIES: Total U.S. KIA remains at 13. Red Cross officials warn that
Tehran’s medical infrastructure is operating at 20% capacity due to
persistent power outages and supply chain blockades.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
II. HOMELAND SECURITY (DHS)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* PORT STRIKE TEAMS: Secretary Mullin’s emergency customs surge has cleared
over 800 priority containers at the Port of Savannah. Sec. Mullin
announced
the "Port-to-Pantry" initiative, prioritizing food and medical shipments
over general consumer electronics.
* BORDER SECURITY: A "surplus equipment" transfer has begun, moving thermal
imaging assets from theater (Middle East) to the Rio Grande Valley
sector.
Mullin stated, "The technology that secured the Gulf will now secure
the border."
* AVIATION: Security wait times have fully stabilized at sub-20 minute
averages nationwide. TSA has begun a "hiring blitz" to replace the 1,500
officers who resigned during the 39-day shutdown.
* DOMESTIC THREATS: FBI/CISA report a 40% increase in "credential
harvesting"
attacks against U.S. defense contractors. Attribution points toward the
Iranian-linked "Charming Kitten" group.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
III. SEVERE WEATHER & WILDFIRES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* TORNADO AFTERMATH: Survey teams have confirmed at least 22 tornadoes from
yesterday’s outbreak. A violent EF-4 strike near Birmingham, AL, and
an EF-3
in central Georgia are responsible for a combined 7 confirmed
fatalities.
Power remains out for 180,000 customers in the Southeast.
* TEXAS PANHANDLE EMERGENCY: "Extremely Critical" fire weather materialized
into three major ignitions today. The "High Plains Complex" has already
burned 45,000 acres near Borger, TX. Mandatory evacuations are in effect
as 55 MPH gusts drive the fire through dry CRP grasslands.
* RAIN ON BURN SCAR: The Morrill fire scar in Nebraska received 1.5 inches
of rain today. While beneficial for moisture, localized debris flows and
silt runoff have temporarily closed three county roads.
* RECORD COLD: The "Polar Fragment" has officially exited. A "Spring Surge"
is bringing 60°F temperatures to the Ohio Valley, raising concerns about
rapid snowmelt flooding in the coming week.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IV. ECONOMIC & INFRASTRUCTURE IMPACT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* ENERGY: Brent Crude is trading at $88/bbl, the first time it has dipped
below $90 since the start of the war. U.S. retail gasoline is
expected to
fall below $4.50/gal by Monday.
* LOGISTICS: Union Pacific reports a 2-day delay in Western freight due to
the ongoing "Customs Surge" processing times at rail-heads.
* AGRICULTURE: Cattle futures spiked 4% today as the Texas Panhandle fires
threaten major feedlot operations and grazing lands.
