My bbs still run under XP + BPQ32, just old P-4 PC don't wants
to dead and doing well.
Of course its not optimal on electricity consumption, but its
too lazy for me to change the platform.
Although I have RPi4 and few more modern PCs,
but for my tasks (HF packet with software modems) windows xp
is doing well.
Used Winpack much in past, but now to read/write bbs bulls simple
web interface and pop/smtp - for p-mails is more comfortable.
The only drawback of web/pop/smtp - is lack automatic 7plus data
files code/decode but that kind of traffic is very low and not
have much sense now at all, at least for me.
