REGIONAL REPORT
Coverage Area: North Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana

Over the past 24 hours, the region has experienced renewed severe weather activity as unstable atmospheric conditions across th
e Southern Plains and ArkLaTex region triggered thunderstorms capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, localized floodi
ng, and isolated tornadoes. Storm clusters developed across north Texas and southern Oklahoma, with the threat zone extending e
astward into Arkansas and northern Louisiana as warm Gulf moisture collided with an incoming disturbance. Meteorologists report
ed that the environment remains supportive of additional severe thunderstorms, and scattered storms are expected to continue mo
ving across the region as the system progresses east.

In northwest Louisiana, seismic monitoring stations reported continued earthquake activity near Coushatta, including a magnitud
e 4.0 earthquake early Monday morning and several smaller aftershocks recorded within a short time period. The tremors appear c
onnected to the rare magnitude 4.9 earthquake that struck the same area earlier in the week, one of the strongest earthquakes r
ecorded in Louisiana in decades. While the recent quakes were relatively minor and caused no reported injuries or damage, geolo
gists continue monitoring the area due to the unusual cluster of seismic events in the ArkLaTex region.

Emergency managers across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana remain on alert as the ongoing storm pattern continues to pr
oduce rounds of thunderstorms capable of severe weather hazards. Forecast models indicate that additional storm development rem
ains possible as a series of weather disturbances move across the central United States, keeping portions of the Southern Plain
s and Lower Mississippi Valley under continued risk for severe weather impacts and localized infrastructure disruptions.
