The MAGNET Region 6 Portable QRP Exercise is designed to strengthen field communications capability and operator readiness with
in the network. During this exercise, operators deploy portable, low-power (QRP) radio stations away from their primary home se
tups to practice establishing reliable HF communications under realistic field conditions. The purpose of the event is to test
equipment portability, antenna setups, power management, and digital-mode communication workflows while improving operator prof
iciency and coordination across the region. By operating with minimal power and field-deployable gear, participants simulate au
stere or emergency environments where normal infrastructure /may be unavailable, helping ensure MAGNET operators remain capable
of maintaining/ resilient communications when it matters most. Any stations close region 6 can join in. 10w max.
