I don’t care what anyone wants to believe, and I know because I used to work in the industry, this is not the fault of the insurance companies. The insurance companies are a preferred scapegoat for these outrageous prices but the fact of the matter is that the drug companies, along with their buddies at the FDA have for years been milking the American people and have record profits in the process. They can’t get away with it in most European countries because the governments would have their butts in a sling.
