    Hey all my Florida contractor friends…. Golf Club Publishing just contacted me again to try to get me to renew my advertising for last year…. you know the advertising…. the one they charged me for and never produced?
    Every time I called them and asked them they told me that they ran out of print copies and would have to wait and send me the next one. Then I asked for postal service receipts from the bulk mailing….. nothing. Today they wanted another $700.00 for my exclusive advertising. Told them that I was considering suing them and had already turned them over to the Department of Consumer Protection for fraud. Also asked for their physical address so I could file charges with the local sheriff department.
    Nothing good about this group. Watch out.

    Always! The people are great, I do not currently work out with a club, but my local Y is considering it…. so maybe…. just maybe…… we will soon have a team. US Masters has a great support structure.

    Good morning all! We are having a cold spell here in Florida right now. I think Winter may have arrived. This morning my Back Yard Weather thingy is reporting 54 degrees. We are supposed to perhaps get to 71 today. Of course this will only last one day because tomorrow and Monday we are supposed to be back up around 77.

    I guess Florida has decided not to participate in Winter.

    Some jerk decided that last night would be a better night for Fireworks than New Year’s eve. Not sure why but it scared Lady half to death. It also did not help that they set them off right while Lady and Leona were outside trying to take care of their last out of the evening.

    It sucks for the federal employees that have been furloughed. However, I want to bring a reminder to these conversations that this is the life of employees in the private sector and always has been. Because of employment at will laws our jobs, paychecks, and benefits can disappear at any point in time.

    And… we do not have the ability to get paid for furlough time when the government gets funded again.

    This is not that I do not care, but I honestly believe that we would solve this problem through the democratic process very fast if we did not make sure that back pay was granted. 800,000 votes would sure make a difference in forcing change at the next election.
