..There is a Slight Risk (level 2/4) of excessive rainfall over

A front moving eastward out of the Northern Plains will trigger
showers and severe thunderstorms over the Northern/Central Plains
and Southern High Plains. Therefore, the SPC has issued an
Enhanced Risk (level 3/5) of severe thunderstorms over parts of
the Northern/Central Plains, and Southern High Plains through
Wednesday morning. The hazards associated with these thunderstorms
include frequent lightning, severe wind gusts, hail, and the
threat of tornadoes.
In addition, the showers and thunderstorms will produce heavy
rain. Therefore, the WPC issued a Slight Risk (level 2/4) of
excessive rainfall over parts of the Northern Plains/Upper
Mississippi Valley through Wednesday morning. The associated heavy
rain will mainly cause localized flash flooding, with urban areas,
roads, small streams, and low-lying areas most vulnerable.
Furthermore, showers and thunderstorms over the Ohio/Tennessee
Valleys/Southeast will create heavy rain. Therefore, the WPC
issued a Slight Risk (level 2/4) of excessive rainfall over parts
of the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys/Southeast through Wednesday morning.
The associated heavy rain will mainly cause localized flash
flooding, with urban areas, roads, small streams, and low-lying
areas most vulnerable.
On Wednesday, the showers and severe thunderstorms move eastward
with the associated boundary over the Upper/Middle Mississippi
Valley. Therefore, the SPC has issued an Enhanced Risk (level 3/5)
of severe thunderstorms over parts of the region from Wednesday
through Thursday morning. The hazards associated with these
thunderstorms include frequent lightning, severe wind gusts, hail,
and the threat of tornadoes.
Moreover, showers and thunderstorms will develop heavy rain over
parts of the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley. Therefore,
the WPC issued a Slight Risk (level 2/4) of excessive rainfall
over parts of the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley from
Wednesday through Thursday morning. The associated heavy rain will
mainly cause localized flash flooding, with urban areas, roads,
small streams, and low-lying areas most vulnerable.
By Thursday, showers and thunderstorms will produce heavy rain
over parts of the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley and adjacent
portions of the Great Lakes. Therefore, the WPC issued a Slight
Risk (level 2/4) of excessive rainfall over parts of the
Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley on Thursday. The associated heavy
rain will mainly cause localized flash flooding, with urban areas,
roads, small streams, and low-lying areas most vulnerable.
Meanwhile, a front moving over the Pacific Northwest on Tuesday
will trigger rain and highest-elevation snow over parts of the
Northwest and the Northern Intermountain Region. The boundary will
dissipate overnight Tuesday while the upper-level energy will
continue to produce rain and highest-elevation snow over parts of
the Northwest and the Northern Intermountain Region through
Wednesday morning. Another front moving out of Central Canada into
the Northern High Plains by Thursday morning will produce rain
over the Northern Plains.
