A front extending from the Northeast across the Great Lakes,

remain quasi-stationary with waves of low pressure running along
the boundary through Thursday. The system will produce showers

thunderstorms are frequent lightning, severe thunderstorm wind
gusts, hail, and a few tornadoes. Showers and thunderstorms will
also develop across the Middle Mississippi Valley, the Southern
Plains, and parts of the Central and Eastern Gulf Coast States.
Moreover, rain/freezing rain will develop from parts of the Upper
Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes into parts of the Northeast
on Tuesday. In addition, light snow will develop over northern
Maine and over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley and Northern
Plains.

On Wednesday, showers and thunderstorms will develop from the
Northern Mid-Atlantic to the Middle Mississippi Valley. However,
severe thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Central
Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley to the Southern Plains.
Therefore, the SPC has issued a Slight Risk (level 2/5) of severe
thunderstorms over parts of the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi
Valley to the Southern Plains on Wednesday through Thursday
morning. The hazards associated with these thunderstorms are
frequent lightning, severe thunderstorm wind gusts, hail, and a
few tornadoes. Showers and thunderstorms will also develop over
parts of the Central Gulf Coast and Tennessee Valley.

Moreover, there will be patches of rain/freezing rain from the
Central Plains to the Great Lakes and a second area of
rain/freezing rain over parts of the Northeast on Wednesday. Light
snow will develop over parts of the Northern/Central Plains and
the Upper Mississippi Valley on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, upper-level energy will help produce showers and
thunderstorms over parts of the Northern Intermountain Region, the
Great Basin, and the Southwest. Furthermore, rain will develop
over parts of the Pacific Northwest and California on Tuesday.
Overnight Tuesday, a front will move onshore over the West Coast
and advance eastward to the Northern Intermountain Region, Great
Basin, and Central California by Thursday. Rain and
higher-elevation snow will move into the Northwest overnight
Tuesday and into Wednesday. Also, snow will develop over parts of
