GM0NRT - Bill
GM7ATQ - John

-- New and improved nodes
GM8CZU is back on the air. His roof has been repaired and courtesy of
the roofer the antenna installation was improved as the repair person
was able to get to places Iain didn't feel confident about.
VHF/UHF are up and running. HF is still a work in progress.

MM0UHR accidentally found out that the topics in the chat system are
case sensitive as he ended up alone in lower-case dmrpkt.

Some mail failed to get north. While routes were updated to account for
GM0CQV being offline during his move, priority still went to GB7CQV and
lots of mail was accidentally queued. This was fixed mid-net.

GM0NRT had still got the bulletins so hopefully no personals were held
up. Some test personal mail was also sent during the net to test
everything was working correctly.

GM0CQV still has to update his node details at the RSGB before putting
the radio back online but it's not made it to the top of his todo list.

-- Books
MM0UHR is reading Soul Music by Terry Pratchett
GM8CZU is reading Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman
GM0CQV is in the middle of a long series but read Project Hail Mary and
would recommend the book and the recent movie
GM0NRT read The Magic House to his kids at bedtime
GM7ATQ prefers a technical manual and on that topic recommends the
Radcom article by MM1MSG about FT8. P74-74 in the online edition.

-- Other
GM7ATQ has built his CTCSS tone encoder and it works well. Just need to
link it to a radio now. He was also wondering about sound quailty with
a new external mic, which everyone reported favourably.

There was some discussion about Meshtastic. Mainly around messages that
were sent and if they were received or not.

GM8CZU has been out in Tenerife and MM0UHR confessed that he'd thought
Mallorca and Menorca were the same place with people doing bad
pronounciation for a long time.

GM8CZU is also in the final stages of adopting someone. Congratulations
are in order, although the lamentable effects on his spare radio time
were acknowledged!

GM0CQV has moved south but the previous place still hasn't finished
selling. However he is in search of a shed to install locally.

GB3GN and GB3NG are going offline at the end of the month. Both have
been in service for forty years but now there is a lack of use and a
lack of interest to maintain them. Getting access to install a DMR
repeater instead seemed to be blocked by paperwork.

Repeaters were widely acknowledged to be an incredibly generous part of
the amateur hobby. Something people work hard on and then just donate
to the community.
