The net ran from 2000UTC to 2100UTC

-- Attendees
MM0UHR/A - Chris - Net Control
GM7ATQ - John
GM0NRT - Bill

-- New and improved nodes
GM7AQ's j-pole in the garden is still doing better than the collinear
antenna. Investigation of the rooftop antenna will start when the
weather improves.

GB7CQV is reporting again but we don't know if that's pre or post move.

GB7RJJ has no links at the moment but that seems to have been a
temporary situation.

MM0UHR is in a /A location and has been working up better remote access
to his node than an app on an Android phone.

GM0NRT sent a test mail to MM0UHR but it didn't arrive. Investigations
are ongoing.

-- Other

GM0NRT has been practicing CW. MM0UHR shared a video about learning
morse code. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtv2DsTiC3Q

GM0NRT is mainly doing 'rubber stamp' QSOs and still gets thrown by
stations sending anything unexpected.

There was also talk about whether automatic decoders were helpful or
not.

MM0UHR suggested the Slow Speed Contest for practice
https://www.k1usn.com/sst, the friday night session is well scheduled
for UK time zones.

The supposed mental benefits of learning CW were considered to maybe
have some overlap with the demonstrated clinical benefits of learning a
second language (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3583091/) and
the group represented with a reasonable array of some additional
language knowledge.

MM0UHR was speaking to a mountain biker who was talking about how
obsolecnece was his concern with e-bike batteries going dud and
replacements not being available which led to the radio-adjacent topic
of battery building. I'm not sure he was convinced, though.

GM0NRT is still working up to 100 countries on QO-100 and EME compoents.
