Good morning All! It is a pleasant 4 degrees in Willington, CT this morning. Peanut decided one trip to the backyard was enough rather than her normal 2. Mindy is curled up in the sun. Probably hold off on puppy walks for a while, way too cold – even with coats and blankets. Everyone have a great day and stay warm.

Today is a nice warm day – so, Peanut and Mindy got a BATH! You would think Mindy is going to melt from getting wet. Peanut is now wearing one of my t-shirts to keep warm as the last of her fur dries. Mindy is still pouting.

Need a favor from any High School students or recent High School grads that get my newsfeed. Can you tell me if online learning is being used in your education, and how it is being used? Also, is it effective – in other words do you get anything out of it or is it more of a waste of time?

Wow … a pleasant 5.1 degrees on the thermometer this morning in Willington, CT. Peanut and Mindy stayed out a VERY short time this morning to do their business and now curled up in their living room beds waiting for a sunbeam. Sounds like a good idea to me.

Tonight for the pups New Years Eve dinner they are going to have “Game Day Tailgate”. For New Years Day they are going to have “Autumn Leftovers” as well. Emma , it is your fault that I found these gourmet puppy food flavors. The pups love them!

Has everyone had enough of old man winter? Ready for spring? While the official start of spring isn’t until March 20th, here at CGA nothing says spring like the Hebron Maplefest! It’s been a rite of spring for several years now and this year is no different.
Our booth will be at 50 Main Street on both Saturday, March 12th and Sunday, March 13th from 10 am until 2 pm and we’ll need volunteers and their dogs in two hour shifts, from 10 to noon, and noon to 2, both days. If you have a foster dog, this has always been a well attended event in the past and a greyt chance to get them some exposure. Contact chris@ctgreyhounds.org with any questions or to help out.
Our annual Lincoln’s Wish fundraiser is right around the corner! April 9th will be here before you know it and you don’t want to miss out on this fun event. We are going back to the Thomas Hooker Brewery this year, from 5 pm to 9 pm. There will be food, a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, tours of the brewery, and BEER! Get your tickets on our website via PayPal here. Did I mention there’s beer? Do you really need more information than that? If you have some items or services to donate to our silent auction, or have any questions, send an email to chris@ctgreyhounds.org
On Saturday, March 19th, we’ll be having a Hound Hike at Chatfield Hollow in Killingworth (map). We tried to go there this past weekend, but found out it wasn’t plowed! Hopefully come the 19th that won’t be an issue. Check the website for updates if we get a late season snow storm though. We’ll be meeting up at 2:30 with the hike starting at 2:45. If you’ve never been to a Hound Hike before they are really just an excuse for us greyhound lovers to get out and swap some stories while admiring each others hounds. Of course the hounds really like seeing each other too! Oh, and we do walk!
Don’t forget about our usual monthly Meet & Greets in March as well. Stop by and say hi!
Saturday, March 5th, Clinton Petco, 11 am to 1 pm
Saturday, March 5th, North Haven Petco, 11 am to 1 pm
Saturday, March 12th, Avon Petco, 10 am to Noon
Sunday, March 20th, Dayville Petco, 11 am to 1 pm
Saturday, March 26th, Manchester Petco, 11 am to 1 pm
Saturday, March 26th, Southington Petco, 11 am to 1 pm
That’s all for now. Stay tuned for news about an exciting new contest we’ll be having! In the meantime, we’ve gotten several requests to bring the adopted dogs page back, so guess what? It’s back and it’s called Our Pack! Check it out!

If anyone knows anybody in the Mobile racing office can you ask them when they are going to get their computers fixed? I haven’t been able to get results for Greyhound Data since the 11th.
