I read this in an article today, and I believe this is the truth behind the 2024 election for a large number of people.
“And in 2024, we elected arguably the most selfish person on the planet, validating that America has become an inherently selfish nation. Like Donald Trump, we are only out for ourselves.
Trump’s phony nationalism and “America First” appeal is a metaphor for “me first.” We care more about our cell phones than we do each other. We manage our social media platforms. We offer only our thoughts and prayers in a comment section and call it a day. We listen to our podcasts. We like our cable news network. We read our news curated personally for us. If you are different, you are not me, and I don’t have the time or fortitude to help you.”

Facebook Post: People just don’t get it
So, the first claim of my day this morning:
Insured: So, what are you going to do for a new job?
Me: I am not sure I understand.
Insured: When Trump takes office you all will be out of work because he is going to make the insurance companies just pay the claim rather than do these inspections.
Me: Believe me, if it comes to that I have options…..
(What else are you supposed to say that won’t get you in trouble?)
And that set the tone for the entire day. I was told by the office that I was being too “Salty”. -

Small things make me.smile. the hotel i am in this week has actually cleaned my room every day.

Facebook Post: PRA in Greyhounds
With the recent post about PRA in greyhounds it is worth noting that Res is included in this genetic trait. We knew it when we adopted him and it is part of why he joined the pack. We really did not expect him to be an only dog as fast as he was.
My biggest fear for him is the stairs as he progressively looses his vision. But, this is one of the most level headed articles I have read. So many articles on PRA never have suggestions. this one does.

So strange flying into this airport as a visitor to the area. I caught myself heading to my normal parking garage. Nope my car is not here.
