    I have been participating in the Lake Wales Family YMCA’s Winter fitness challenge and since I try to be an overachiever I selected the “ironman” challenge. This involves 200 miles of biking, 90 miles of running, and 10 miles of swimming in the month of January. As of today (1/10) I have biked 43 miles, run 68 miles, and swam 8.9 miles. Not bad if I say so myself. I think finishing the biking part is going to be a challenge. The running part will just take 2 more days and the swimming is 1 more day.

    And I get back to work….. one of my favorite people at work just got laid off. Damn! He has been one of the best managers I have ever worked for 🙁 I am so going to miss our conversations and his council.

    The snow in Jacksonville made the national news! It’s called “Sea effect snow.” it hasn’t happened in 20 years or so. See Kelly and Charles you guys made history!

    Ehhh…. my Backyard Weather Thingy feels sorry for it’s Northern neighbors this morning. It is registering it’s displeasure with a wind speed of 14mph and a temperature of 40. Granted it knows that’s a lot warmer than some other places in the country but that is still a little chilly for down here. On a better note, at least the blankets did not blow off the tomato and cucumber plants in the garden last night. Anyone, everyone have a good day and stay warm!

    To all of my friends in a few of the Pro Greyhound groups and in the racing world. The start of an auction and legislative sessions are the time where some people may want to disrupt Pro Racing groups that have been distributing a lot of positive materials. Yes, the world is not perfect and it will never be, but please do not let the people causing the disruption break up a “well oiled” team. If you stand back and look at things you will see the negative posts, the baiting, and the bickering has increased in the last week. Please respond with more positive posts, and good stories. Make sure they are recent so that the anti’s can’t say old news, since that is what they specialize in.

    I missed today’s issues, but i have a pretty good idea of what happened.

    OMG I think I am going to throw up. I have just read 3 posts that included “these scared little babies”, “running their hearts out to win”, and “scared of everything from the kennel.” Please get a clue people!

    Good morning all! It is 76 degrees here in Babson Park, FL. The sun is out and I think it is going to be a warm one, probably into the 80’s again. Not much on the agenda today. I think I will go swim a bit when the pool opens. Tomorrow it is back to work. Oh, I do have to log in and do some system maintenance speaking of work…..
