Let’s see… on FB the university that I got my Doctorate from is offering me a Doctorate, in the same subject I already graduated with. And …. why the hell would I want to do that twice? Just saying!

Good Morning all! The sun is just starting to come up but I can’t see it through the fog. It is a pleasant 68 degrees outside with a 99% humidity according to my wet backyard weather thingy. The dogs are back in their beds for their morning rest. Perhaps they will get some good outdoor time today as it rained all day yesterday. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone! Our little “cold snap” is over! It is 60 degrees outside this morning and once the fog burns off I think it will probably end up in the mid 70’s.

  • Facebook Post: 2014-01-08 Good Morning!

Good morning all! The sun is coming up today and so has the temperature. Last night it was still a bit chilly when we went to bed and now the temp is 43 degrees according to the backyard weather thingy. I think around noon we may be able to uncover the gardens and let the plants get some sunlight. Hope all my friends in the Northern direction get a little relief from this cold.

Good morning all! It is 38 degrees in the backyard according to the backyard weather thingy. The dogs wasted no time outside this morning and I got the accusing look of “you made it cold daddy” when they came back in. Mindy is not impressed. Anyways, I hope all my Northern friends dealing with much colder weather are doing OK.

Oh, Oh…. wrong black dog in crate. I didn’t notice Red collar is out and purple collar is in. Red dog belongs in crate, purple dog belongs out with the cat. Ooops…. (no kitties were harmed in the making of this chase).

Ms. Peanut had a vet appointment today to have her on and off again limp checked. You know us with Greyhounds, we can never ignore a limp. It appears my little athlete seems to have pulled a muscle on the inside of her left hip. It appears that since we have moved down South she has been way more active than she has been since she hurt herself up North and she has pulled something. Radiographs taken and everything looks A-OK on the bones and joints, she may have a tiny bit of arthritis starting on the right side but it is nothing to worry about. So the poor baby is on some Rimadyl and just to be safe an antibiotic in case there is an infection. Of course she is being a bit of a drama queen. Wonder where she learned that?

I was also very happy as she is maintaining her girlish figure at 48.6 pounds and the vet asked me how long has she been off the track because her muscle structure is still wonderful.
