Good morning all!
Back in Florida…. here is what you all have been waiting for…… wait for it…. wait for it…..
It is 57 wet degrees this morning according to the backyard weather thingy. The humidity is plastered up at 99% which means the sensor is wet. A little breeze. The “experts” tell us that this may be the warmer period of the day. We shall see.
On the plans for today? I go along with George…. Sunday is for resting and naps. I need a nap. The dogs had me up all night, not good. Someone has a stomach thing going and Jesse is such a deep sleeper that he was waking up to the mess every morning and was not hearing the sick party panting before they had the squirts all over the place. Well, I don’t have that problem. So, Ranger and Peanut are both going to go on Chicken and Rice for a few days. They are also going to get their Imonium tablets this morning…… Both of them were urgent to go out 3 times last night and once out it was a serious emergency. Poor Ranger almost took the door of the hinges on his way out. We must have a stomach bug going around here.

Well, I am home. 2 weeks away, 4,000 miles on the road. Whole bunch of hotels, crappy diet. I did keep my New Years resolutions though and ran a minimum of a 5K each day. Also don’t think I gained much weight (haven’t checked yet). Damn glad to be home. Mindy is not leaving my side either….. Daddy’s home and she is not taking any chances. I actually got a kiss from Ranger and Lady as well. That has never happened before.

Let’s see….. I have been off of FB for almost 3 days now….. I have a whole bunch of unread email….. I have a friend in deep personal trouble…. and so on. Man, leave for a while and the world falls apart.

Good morning everyone!
The AccuWindow ™ says that the weather outside is cold and snowy. A quick check of the conditions by the AccuPerson(tm) while I went out to start the car to see if it will warm up says it is cold and snowy as well. So, it is cold and snowy in Rocky Hill, CT. The weatherman says it isn’t supposed to get much over 15 degrees all day today and that we may be at the high this morning already. BRRRrrrrr.
On the good news…. I counted yesterday, I have 32 volunteers to come to Florida and be my administrative assistant. LOL Someone told me the snow is my fault! “My fault?” Yup, “Mother Nature decided to get even because you have been sort of laughing at my friends up North lately and she wanted to remind my what she can do.” OK, I guess there may be some logic to that theory….. someplace. -
I have no idea what tear-jerker movie I watched on the hallmark channel but my favorite lines of the movie are worth repeating (and I wish I could figure out who to give credit to):
“They say in Africa every morning an antelope wakes up and knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. They say that every morning when a lion wakes up it must run faster than the tastes antelope or it will starve. See, it doesn’t matter who you are but what matters is when you wake up you are running.”
Now I know where my track coach from years back got the line. I never knew.
