AREA: Alger, MI; Delta, MI
DETAILS: Tornado Warning issued June 30 at 7:35PM EDT until June 30 at
8:00PM EDT by NWS Marquette MI
DESCRIPTION: At 735 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located over Trenary, or 21 miles southwest of Munising,
moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size
hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be
dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged
or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely. This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly
rural areas of north central Delta and southwestern Alger Counties.
