USA EXTREME WEATHER & STORMS
SEVERE WEATHER THREAT: Severe thunderstorms expected from east Texas
into southeast Iowa and Illinois with strong tornado and damaging
wind potential from central Arkansas into central Missouri. Heavy
to excessive rainfall from eastern Texas into Midwest states may
bring new or renewed flooding.
HEAT ADVISORIES ACTIVE: Heat Advisories remain in effect with heavy
to excessive rainfall today bringing flooding areas to parts of
northern High Plains and Midwest into the Ohio Valley.
SEASONAL CONDITIONS: U.S. is experiencing worst tornado season in 14
years. Above average temperature and drought forecast across most
of the country in September.
FLOOD WATCHES MONITORING: Flood Watches remain in effect.
