USA EXTREME WEATHER & STORMS
THUNDERSTORM STATUS: Severe thunderstorms expected from east Texas
into southeast Iowa and Illinois with strong tornado and damaging
wind potential from central Arkansas into central Missouri. Heavy
rainfall anticipated across multiple regions.
FLOODING ALERT: Heavy to excessive rainfall from eastern Texas into
Midwest states may bring new or renewed areas of flooding. Flash
flood warnings across northern Rockies, upper Midwest, central
Great Lakes, and southern New England through weekend.
WINTER WEATHER STATUS: Late season winter storm producing heavy snow
and disruptive ice in Northern Plains moving into Upper Midwest
and Great Lakes through Thursday. Heat Advisories remain in
effect.
TORNADO ACTIVITY: U.S. experiencing worst tornado season in 14
years. Multiple active warnings and watches across central
corridor regions.
