HURRICANE LOWELL:
Hurricane Lowell forecast to pass west of Kauai coastal waters
tonight with potential high surf and heavy rain impacts across
Hawaiian islands.
California and Southwest face tropical downpours through Labor Day
weekend.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS:
Severe thunderstorms likely producing severe wind gusts, large hail,
few tornadoes, and heavy rainfall across southern and central
Plains.
U.S. having worst tornado season in 14 years.
WINTER STORM:
Late season winter storm producing heavy snow and disruptive ice
starting this evening in Northern Plains moving into Upper Midwest
and Great Lakes through Thursday.
HEAT CONDITIONS:
Sweltering heat remains across South-Central Plains and Lower/Middle
Mississippi Valley into this week with limited nighttime relief.
