USA EXTREME WEATHER & STORMS

HEAT ALERTS: Extreme heat warnings persist across the Southern,
Western, and Midwestern US. Temperatures reach 120F in some
regions. Alerts continue through Saturday.
SEVERE STORMS/FLOODS: Flash flood warnings are active for
Philadelphia and NYC Metro through Friday. Thunderstorms with
damaging winds are possible in the Mid-Atlantic.
ATLANTIC/TORNADO: The Atlantic hurricane season is below normal with
two tropical storms and no hurricanes. Illinois leads the nation
in tornado reports through July.
