USA EXTREME WEATHER & STORMS

EXTREME HEAT: Heat Advisory active for southeast Texas with
108-110°F heat index. Extreme heat risk for Desert Southwest to
Great Plains through August 29.
HURRICANES: Atlantic Basin has no tropical activity forecast for
next seven days due to wind shear. Tropical Storm Lala impacted
Hawaii August 18, damaging homes.
TORNADOES: EF-0 tornado confirmed in Wisconsin August 18. Isolated
tornado risk exists for Mid Mississippi and Ohio Valleys August
19-20.
FLOODING: Historic flooding continues in central/eastern Indiana
since August 11, with six fatalities. Flash flooding possible in
the Mid-Atlantic.
