ONTARIO-USA WILDFIRES

CURRENT IMPACT: Dense Canadian wildfire smoke affects Eastern US,
Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Ohio Valleys. Air quality alerts are
active for I-95 corridor cities.
REGIONAL STATUS: Midwest and Great Lakes regions report smoke and
poor air quality. Over 127 million US personnel were under alerts
August 15.
JULY OVERVIEW: Mid-July Ontario wildfires caused 106 million person-
days of unhealthy air exposure. Health advisories urged limiting
outdoor activity.
