At 10:30am Ranger already looking out for his foodbowl.

“WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOOF!”, “Ranger knock it off, it’s just a bird, you’re not a bird dog!”
Peanut trying to sleep while Ranger is getting her face with the tail. This won’t last long. I sense an end to the peace in 5..,…. 4…… 3…… 2…… 1…… yup, there was the growl.

Great day today [sarcasm] spent all day running errands to get things taken care of before I go out of town. Had to go pick up rental. First car I got out of the rental lot, got up to 40 MPH and the backend of it sounded like it was going to fall out. Nope, not happening. Turned around went back into the rental car lot and got second car. Got an upgrade out of it. But what a waste of time. We had taken all the dogs with us for the ride, Peanut barfed all over Jesse’s head on the way and then got Ranger with the rest (in my car, not the rental). Let’s see what else? Oh, not much for now. I am sure there will be something else.
Oh, I forgot to post on how my 2 sick doggies are doing this AM. Ranger is fine, the sore is really healing nicely. I am going to leave him on antibiotics through the day and then off he comes. I think it is time to start letting it heal on it’s own without the ointments we have been using. Peanut wasn’t limping as bad this morning and I think I found a knot in the muscle on the inside of her left thigh. She may have just pulled something racing around the yard like an idiot or on one of her “let’s dig to China” missions.
Have to say that the sand of Florida is meeting with Peanut’s approval. See, up until recently none of the others in my pack have been wanting to play with her. They knew she had been hurt, they knew I was pretty upset about it, and they have basically spent the last 2 years protecting her. I know it has been sort of pissing her off as she has tried everything to get Mindy to “rumble” with her.
Well, over the last month there has been a change. They have started to play together again. This morning I had to laugh, Peanut went out the door with the others following her. They all went to lay down and that isn’t what Peanut wanted. She went to the far corner of the yard and started barking at nothing. Once that got everyone into the same corner as she was in she turned around and started digging in the sand and flung dirt up at Ranger. Well, that just annoyed him and the chase was on. Well, poor guy, he didn’t stand a chance with the four girls.
They chased his butt around the yard and finally Peanut went after his ears. He ran back up to the patio and the 90 pounds of Ranger goofball hid behind my legs from the little 47 pound Peanut. She was so happy and her tail was a going a mile a minute. The pack played with her.
The fox are active in the woods this morning. Ranger is practicing his barking skills.
Ranger wants to go to grocery store with daddy….. “Just drop me off in the meat aisle and pick me up when you’re done” LOL
