My office assistant is sleeping on the job.

Me: Res…. Explain why it was necessary to growl and do 2 woofs at 3am, 4am, 4:30, 5am, and 6am?

Res: I have no idea what you are talking about.

Me: Yes you do. You woke us, I told you to shut up. You came over and stuck your cold nose to me.

Res: OK, I was protecting the house.

Me: Against what?

Res: I don’t know. I woke up and thought the house needed protected.

Me: I am bringing the spray bottle, you know the one that I use on the cat, upstairs tonight.

Res: Better than the sucky machine. Now I have to woof at the spray bottle.

Me: Res, you need to let me sleep… or I get grumpy.

Res: The other human sleeps…. He growls in his sleep as well. That’s it I was sleeping and growled and woke myself and barked.

Me: I use the spray bottle on you both! Shut up and let me sleep.

The 2024 Christmas card

Me: Res, why are you making all this noise in the backyard?

Res: That other dog is talking to me! I need to answer.

Me: Other dog? You mean the one 2 blocks away?

Res: So, he was talking to me.

Me: Someone way back when told me greyhounds don’t bark.

Res: What a bunch of liars they were.

Me: Go inside! You are way too loud.

Res: That’s just wrong.

The little $hit comes downstairs with me in the morning, urgent to go outside and does his business, crates himself for his snack, and then goes back upstairs to bed, until Jesse Pannell gets up around 9.

@[100084322594022:2048:Sugar Lee] do you believe this? He took it from me in the dining room, then stealthily took it through the living room and dropped it n the family room. He wants no part of Pizza bones. What a strange greyhound. He doesn’t do sliced cheese either.

Res would rather starve than eat a pizza bone. Nope nope nope nope. He also doesn’t like cheese! First greyhound ever that does not do pizza bones and cheese.

We think he is broken.

We have never had a dog that goes CRAZY for potatoes like Res does.
