OK, there is a South African variant of the COVID-19 virus. It appears that some of the vaccines are less effective against it. The two people in the US that have tested positive for that variant have no connection to each other and have not traveled.

Let’s think that through for a second. Have not traveled and have no connection to each other. Leaves us with two possibilities:

    1) they came into contact that are infected but not showing symptoms.

    2) The COVID-19 virus is evolving and becoming more dangerous.

I would lay odds on either choice.

Oh Leona, did you have to teach her to bark at the birds flying over us on our walks? Really Raven this is not a requirement. You are a rabbit dog, them not rabbits!

And once again the governor of Florida is on the news bragging about how great his plan is to vaccinate seniors and how Florida is the only state reporting millions of seniors vaccinated. Just one problem, the next news report is how people are not coming back for their second doses and the third piece was how difficult it is for seniors to make reservations.

Now, Mr. Governor: I have a simple question, well, actually two. First, when are you going to start vaccinating the service workers in the state, you know, the ones that have to serve the population (including those you bring in for major sporting events from other states) without having any mask mandates enforceable? Second, are you going to ask the seniors to take the place of the service workers that get sick? You know, the seniors you are so hell bent on getting vaccinated because they vote for you over the service workers which most often can’t vote because they are too busy working?

Here’s the deal, Mr. DeSantos is so concerned about “looking like” he is doing a great thing with his vaccination efforts, but the reality is he is pandering to those who vote for him. Example: The Villages LOVE DeSantos, so he sent large quantities of vaccines up in that area. But parts of the state haven’t seen much of any because those areas are less likely to vote for him.

Yeh…. this…… this is the same line of storms that caused tornados in the panhandle and Alabama.

  • Facebook Post: 2021-01-27 Raven Takes Over

So….. Raven was laying there minding her own business. Leona comes over and starts scratching at the bed in the corner and bouncing around on it. Raven picks up her head and growls, woofs, and laid her head back down. Leona lays down and flips over and goes to sleep. That sequence had not happened since Ranger put her in her place a few times years ago.

I have a feeling we have had a pack re-order in the house. Jesse Pannell and I were wondering when it would happen and who would end up being the alpha. I think we now know.

It took 3 medical assistants and finally one RN to get blood from me at my hematologists office this afternoon. I feel like a pin cushion. Left arm, right wrist, right arm. The RN said we need have a talk with the DR about your blood thinners:-)
