OK all…. It is official, after a lot of seller agent trying to re-write contract issues, we are finally in possession of our new house.
Get this, the seller wanted to hold off on transferring property until his granddaughter could come and say “goodbye to the house”. I almost lost my $h&t.
But, it’s ours now and tomorrow after I get internet installed I will be able to start the setup on everything I need to do.
Step 1: Replace this damn thermostat that barely works!!!!
Step 2: All locks and garage door access codes.
Step 3: Change the irrigation controller to one we can actually program.
Step 4: Meet with electrician tomorrow.
Step 5: Get someone willing to crawl into the attic to re-attach a vent pipe (I am too old for that, and I am feeling the affects of altitude right now).
Step 6: Figure out where to put all the plants that I moved out here so they get watered.I have no idea what steps 7-10 are. But I am sure it will come to me.

Really?? I wonder which version they plan on teaching since it has been “altered” over the years through interpretation, and too fit the interpreters desires. Perhaps they need to teach it in it’s original language, you know since they are ‘teaching the historical value’

I-4 Insanity, The Florida Edition
I-4 in Florida is insane. Had to go to Tampa today for a dr visit, my once a year with a specialist. The appointment is usually less than 10 minutes.
2.5 hours out.
1.0 hour at office because dr is running late.
2.5 hours back home.Dr office is less than 70 miles away from house…..
Me: Oh, GPS tell me which is better I-4 or backroads?
GPS: I-4 is all green

Personal Finance and Student Loans
I think all high school students should have to take a 1 semester class in personal finance. One of the topics should be “how to read and understand the master promissory note for your student loans.”
No student should graduate and sign student loan paperwork without 100% understanding that they are making a promise to repay that money. I am so tired of hearing about “poor kid, they can’t buy a house because of their student loans.”
Listen up: YOU signed the loan. You enrolled in college.
I know this opinion will make me unpopular with some of my friends. Oh, well. I paid my loans back, well over $100K total. You can as well. This forgiveness is shit. I want a refund.
