A few more to finish your evening off. Tomorrow evening I am back in the mountains. The building with the great lights is the Mormon Temple in Orem, UT.

To all of my friends in Florida! PLEASE make hotel reservations and prepare to leave before you need to. As many of you know I work in areas that have been hit by devastation. My coworkers and I are having problems finding hotel rooms because of the last storm (Helene).
I highly recommend that if you are in any area that floods, or has a history of needing evacuation you make reservations BEFORE you need to. That way you are not stuck staying in FleaBag Motel by the Highway.
Res: Where daddy going?
Me: He is going to go figure out the rail system today.
Res: Why?

Res: I don’t feel well dad.
Me: I know buddy, it’s your monthly heart worm, tick, and flea meds.
Res: I DIDN’T TAKE A PILL!
Me: Eh…… yeh, you did.
Res: How? What? Where?

Res: WHAT? You polluted my peanut butter?

I had lunch last week with a group of linemen from a major power company that serves the Carolina’s, Georgia, and Florida. I am told that the manufacturer that supplies them with transformers are backlogged by a number of months. So, if you are about to go through yet another hurricane, you may want to plan in advance. Even if your lines are not damaged, no transformers means no power.
