Sharyn Deeringer and Roger Deeringer are you folks going to be OK with the almost 2 foot of rain forecast that just made the national news?

I suggest that the republicans get one more try to elect a speaker and if they fail then the democrat’s minority whip should automatically become speaker of the house.

The democrat house members are eating popcorn watching this crap show.

Folks, this was posted in Pro Greyhound group but there are too many backseat drivers in that group wanting to point out issues rather than understand why this list exists, so I deleted it from there and am moving it to my own page. I will delete negative comments.

These are the dogs that have run graded races at Southland in the last 30 days. They will fall off this list as they start running graded races at other tracks.

This does NOT track dogs that just ran schooling races, nor in-transit dogs, nor any dog that whatever reason has not run a graded race on the SL track between 12-01-2022 and 12-31-2022.

If you do not understand the above, and want to complain about the data provided, you have my permission to just do it yourself. I honestly do not care about your bitching.

If you know of a dog that went home with an owner, or was adopted out, or is at an adoption group, please feel free to let me know. I will verify and update the data.

Damn it! I feel like shit. Have felt like shit for almost the full last week. Yes, I have taken a COVID test (twice) with negative results, but still feel like shit. Cough, runny nose, no fever, sore throat due to cough.

Dayquil is my friend. Niquil is my friend. Benadryl is my friend. We think I got into some mold early last week that I was pretty allergic to, and I forgot that my prescription for allergy meds is messed up and keeps getting lost.

ARGGGGGGG … cough cough cough cough cough.

As I always do, here is a list of the dogs that have run at Southland for the month prior to track closing. They will remain on this list until they show up at one of the remaining tracks, or someone lets me know that they are adopted.

The reason this list is so important is that I provide it to groups that are trying to save racing in the remaining tracks. It is part of us accounting for each and every dog so we can dispel the myth of vanishing dogs.

It’s 10:15am. Why are some jerks setting off fireworks?

Final races from Southland have been uploaded to GHD. Sad day for greyhound nation (or what’s left of it).

With the exception of one, all other tracks that have closed in the last 5 years have been closed through the lies and deceit of Grey 2 K and other “animal rights” (and I use that term very loosely) groups. Southland was closed through closed door scheming from within the industry, in collusion with the track ownership, whom wanted more room for their casino. While greyhound nation was focused on Florida deals were made to close Southland, and it was announced at the NGA meet while we we still reeling from Florida’s plan to end racing.

I have no love for the Kennel Owner’s association, the Southland ownership, and honestly I hope the casino eventually dies and goes out of business. They will never see a cent of my money.

So, moving forward the tracks that we have left in the North America racing circuit are:

    Wheeling Downs in West Virginia
    Tri-State in Wes Virginia
    Caliente in Mexico

A post from a few years ago showed up in my memories today:

    Food for thought:
We were born in the mid-to late 60s, as of today we have lived in 7 decades, 2 centuries, 2 millennias, and we are not 60 yet! We are the last generation that grew up without access to cell phones, personal computers and the internet.

Good morning and Happy 2023! May this year be better for all. May the world’s leaders realize that war is not the answer to everything and perhaps spend more money on education rather than bombs. May the sociopaths running close to 50% of our country realize that you can not erase ethnic/social/etc groups of our society by censorship. May we as voters start electing young people to public office rather than a group of people that want to keep things “the way it used to be.”

For here, at home, may all of us be in good health this next year (if I ever get rid of my current cough), may we end the year with the same pack members I started the year with (I have 3 senior dogs so this is a concern), may both Jesse and myself be able to maintain a healthy work/life balance in a time where employers are expecting much more from each individual. May we have time for hobbies, fun, and a little bit of together travel this year.

May all of my friends (in-person and virtual) have a healthy and prosperous year.

    Happy New Years everyone!
