Has everyone had enough of old man winter? \u00a0Ready for spring? \u00a0While the official start of spring isn’t until March 20th, here at CGA nothing says spring like the Hebron Maplefest! \u00a0It’s been a rite of spring for several years now and this year is no different. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Our booth will be at 50 Main Street on both Saturday, March 12th and Sunday, March 13th from 10 am until 2 pm and we’ll need volunteers and their dogs in two hour shifts, from 10 to noon, and noon to 2, both days. \u00a0If you have a foster dog, this has always been a well attended event in the past and a greyt chance to get them some exposure. \u00a0Contact chris@ctgreyhounds.org with any questions or to help out.<\/p>\n

Our annual Lincoln’s Wish fundraiser is right around the corner! \u00a0April 9th will be here before you know it and you don’t want to miss out on this fun event. \u00a0We are going back to the Thomas Hooker Brewery this year, from 5 pm to 9 pm. \u00a0There will be food, a silent auction, 50\/50 raffle, tours of the brewery, and BEER! \u00a0Get your tickets on our website via PayPal here. \u00a0Did I mention there’s beer? \u00a0Do you really need more information than that? \u00a0If you have some items or services to donate to our silent auction, or have any questions, send an email to chris@ctgreyhounds.org<\/p>\n

On Saturday, March 19th, we’ll be having a Hound Hike at Chatfield Hollow in Killingworth (map). \u00a0We tried to go there this past weekend, but found out it wasn’t plowed! \u00a0Hopefully come the 19th that won’t be an issue. \u00a0Check the website for updates if we get a late season snow storm though. \u00a0We’ll be meeting up at 2:30 with the hike starting at 2:45. \u00a0If you’ve never been to a Hound Hike before they are really just an excuse for us greyhound lovers to get out and swap some stories while admiring each others hounds. \u00a0Of course the hounds really like seeing each other too! \u00a0Oh, and we do walk!<\/p>\n
